About Danka
Danka has spent more than 20 years building a stellar reputation in the interior design and property development industry. Over the years, she has been nominated for numerous awards and has worked on a wide variety of projects, including private residences, penthouses, clubs, bars, art galleries, resorts, and hotels.
While Danka’s expertise spans various design styles and project types, her focus has evolved to specialize in complex, large-scale home renovations. These projects allow homeowners to improve and modernize their living spaces without needing to relocate. As Danka often says, “Why move when you can improve?”
Recently, Danka Interiors has evolved to Danka Interiors and Constructions to better reflect the full scope of services offered. This shift highlights the company’s extensive experience not only in interior design but also in construction, with a strong emphasis on large-scale renovations. With over 26 years on the Gold Coast and more than a decade at the same office location, Danka and her team have developed a deep understanding of the local market and the needs of their clients.
Another exciting milestone is the launch of the South Harbour Project, a new venture into luxury developments. Returning to her roots, Danka is thrilled to undertake projects under her own development banner, creating bespoke, high-end properties.
Danka’s approach centers on understanding her clients’ personalities, tastes, and preferences to ensure every project exceeds expectations. She places a high priority on privacy, keeping project details and locations confidential, with only select projects featured on social media when they are on the market.
Her extensive knowledge of design, space, and the construction process ensures projects meet her exacting standards and are delivered on time and within budget. It’s no surprise that most of Danka’s clients are repeat customers or come through recommendations—a testament to her dedication and expertise.
She particularly enjoys bringing tired old heritage buildings to life and transforming them into highly desirable residential and retail spaces. Her other interest in property development is in the construction of boutique luxury apartments for the owner occupier.
Danka lives on the Gold Coast with her husband has one daughter who is a naturopath and a son who is an architect.
Having gone through cancer, she loves rowing with a Gold Coast women’s dragon boating team; a club that supports survivors of breast cancer.
